Job summary

Alpha School in the Bay Area is hiring a Director of Admissions and Enrollment to grow one campus with families who will thrive in the Alpha model. You will own the entire admissions journey, from inquiry to onboarding, and lead tours for high-end families.

You will work on-site five days a week in Palo Alto or San Rafael, leveraging AI tools to personalize outreach and manage relationships. This role requires relocation within 60 days and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in premium client-facing roles with buying power at $25K+ per client or $2K+ per month.
• End-to-end ownership of the admissions journey: application to onboarding.
• Measurable growth or customer acquisition ownership with lead generation and partnerships.
• 7+ concurrent relationships tracked in a CRM or database.
• Able to recommend against product if misfit for family needs.
• Hands-on use of AI tools in client-facing workflows.
• Experience leading in-person tours, meetings, or hosted experiences for demanding audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive presence.
• Willingness to relocate within 60 days to Palo Alto, CA or San Rafael, CA; on-site work.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Grow enrollment at one Bay Area campus by engaging local families.
• Own the end-to-end admissions journey from inquiry to onboarding.
• Lead campus tours, open houses, and information sessions for analytical, skeptical parents.
• Manage 7+ active family relationships with tracked status and next actions.
• Weekly pipeline reporting and continuous refinement of local admissions playbook.
