Job summary

NewsBreak in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Growth Data Scientist to lead measurement and incremental testing for our local- and nationwide campaigns. You will design and run geo holdouts and lift tests, and translate results into actionable growth strategies.

You'll own DMA-level LTV modeling, geo-tiered bidding, and define the objective function for our automated bidding system, while collaborating with paid and organic growth teams to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on incrementality / geo-experiment experience is required.
• 4–8 years in marketing or growth analytics.
• Fluent with MMPs; clear-eyed about attribution’s limits; has built LTV models.
• Strong SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, execution, and readout of geo holdouts and other lift tests.
• DMA-level LTV modeling and geo-tiered bidding.
• The objective function and decision rules for the agentic bidding system.
• Success criteria and power requirements for product experiments, including local verticals.
• Serving both the paid and organic growth teams.
