Ameris Bank is hiring for a Teller/Personal Banker to support customers and teammates across our branch network. The role combines teller responsibilities with personal banking duties to grow customer relationships and meet banking goals.

The position requires customer service and cash handling experience, with opportunities to cross-sell products and services. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ years of cash handling or retail banking experience
• Cross selling experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Grow the banking center’s financial performance by establishing, expanding, and retaining high-value customer relationships.
• Educate clients, resolve issues, and solicit feedback to improve service and loyalty.
• Apply need-based sales techniques and conduct customer financial profiles to identify products and services.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
• Handle teller duties as needed and balance cash drawer daily.
• Provide training and mentorship to colleagues and support branch operations.
