You will work closely with veterinarians and support staff during patient visits and surgeries, handling exams, histories, and compassionate care for dogs and cats.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on clinical Veterinary Assistant experience preferred.
• Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) are encouraged to apply.
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
• Comfortable working in a busy veterinary hospital environment.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Dependable and adaptable.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• Collect patient histories and obtain vital signs
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats
• Assist with sample collection and laboratory diagnostics
• Support digital radiography and diagnostic procedures
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Provide nursing support to hospitalized and post-operative patients
• Administer medications and treatments under appropriate veterinary supervision
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and patient spaces clean and organized
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners
• Support boarding and hospitalized patients during scheduled weekend rotations
