A bit about the role

As a Grower Success Agronomist, you will work with our customers to provide agronomic insight and expertise to ensure the success of both the customer and Agoro.

Location

Remote in the Mid-South (Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama) region.

What you will be doing

  • Support growers' execution of enrolled practices following the agreed timeline to enhance carbon productivity; manage grower inquiries, complaints, and challenges, providing prompt resolutions while ensuring adherence to practices.
  • Document and report barriers or issues preventing the implementation of practices and provide resolutions as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers to promote the adoption of enrolled practices, emphasizing the importance of compliance for credit generation and long-term success.
  • Collect high-quality data related to new agronomic practices and submit it into the company's data reporting and monitoring system, ensuring accuracy and relevance for carbon credit generation.
  • Provide timely, actionable feedback to stakeholders regarding practice change and data quality.
  • Identify deviations from contractual agreements, processes, payments, or incentives, and propose solutions related to contracts or grower compliance with enrolled practices and data collection.
  • Collaborate with the Legal/Contracts team to resolve contractual issues.
  • Willingness to travel at least 40% of the time.

What you will bring

  • A proud agriculture ambassador with a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or a related field. A Master's degree and CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation are advantageous.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills that inspire confidence and trust.
  • Experience in agriculture, including familiarity with farming practice change management and local crop or rangeland management practices.
  • A passion for sustainability and regenerative agricultural practices that encourages farmers to follow your lead.
  • Market knowledge and an established network of growers and distributors sharing your passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience presenting to audiences in an engaging manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with digital farm management systems and planning tools.
