Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Grow Your Own Instructional Support Apprentice (Part Time) to assist in daily classroom activities, supervise students, and support school operations while providing GYO graduates with hands-on experience in an educational setting.

Reporting to the Building Principal, you will help with instructional materials, classroom routines, and basic clerical tasks, collaborate with teachers, and maintain a safe, productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Missouri Substitute Certification (current or pending).
• Missouri Para Pro Certification (current or pending).

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher in daily instructional activities and classroom routines.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and practice skills.
• Assist with preparing, organizing, and setting up instructional materials and learning environments.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.
