Job summary

Elite Escapes is hiring a Remote Group Travel Planner (Sales-Focused) to turn group inquiries into confirmed trips. You will use destination knowledge, logistics and a consultative sales approach to match teams, families, and groups with the right arrangements from quotes to final itineraries.

You will connect with group leaders via email, chat and phone, coordinating rooms, rates, deposits, and travel details while building long-term partnerships and post-booking engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with group travel sales or hospitality is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple quotes, rooming lists, contracts and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Connect with group leaders to understand trip goals, group size, budget and dates.
• Recommend destinations, hotels, room blocks, and activities that fit the group’s purpose and budget.
• Turn inquiries into confirmed trips via email, chat and phone with a client-first approach.
• Explain group travel details including deposits, payments, cancellation policies and rooming lists.
• Coordinate group logistics: room allocations, contracts, deposits, final payments, and pre-trip communications.
• Provide timely responses to changes, questions, and concerns to groups from quote to return home.
• Share insights on destinations, group-friendly options, and seasonal opportunities.
• Build post-booking relationships to encourage repeats and referrals.

As a Remote Group Travel Planner (Sales-Focused), you'll help groups turn we should all go somewhere together into a confirmed trip that everyone is excited about. You'll combine destination knowledge, group logistics, and a consultative sales approach to match teams, companies, families, and friend groups with the right destination, accommodations, activities, and travel experience - whether it's a sports team tournament, corporate retreat, incentive trip, family reunion, milestone celebration, or friends' getaway.

What You'll Do

• Connect with group leaders to understand trip goals, group size, budget, preferred dates, destination ideas, and must-have experiences.
• Recommend destinations, hotels or resorts, room blocks, transportation options, meeting spaces, team-building activities, and group excursions that fit the group's purpose and budget.
• Turn group inquiries into confirmed trips through email, chat, and phone with energy, accuracy, and a client-first approach.
• Explain group travel details clearly, including deposit structures, payment schedules, cancellation policies, rooming lists, name changes, and travel requirements.
• Coordinate group logistics: room allocations, special requests, group rates, contracts, deposits, final payments, and pre-trip communication.
• Handle changes, questions, and concerns quickly and professionally so group leaders and participants feel supported from first quote through return home.
• Share valuable insights on destinations, group-friendly resorts, team activities, corporate meeting facilities, family experiences, and seasonal opportunities.
• Build post-booking relationships that encourage repeat group trips, referrals, testimonials, and long-term partnerships.

Nice to Have

• Interest in group travel, sports travel, corporate meetings and incentives, family reunions, or destination celebrations.
• Travel-industry, sales, hospitality, event planning, customer-service, or booking experience is preferred- but not required. Zero experience is welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to guide group leaders toward decisions.
• Strong organization skills and comfort managing multiple group quotes, rooming lists, contracts, follow-ups, and client details.
• Comfort with technology, online booking platforms, CRM systems, and AI tools- we will train you on the rest.
• A genuine passion for bringing people together through travel and creating memorable shared experiences.
