Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Group Aquatic Instructor to lead safe, engaging swim sessions for community members. You will teach, motivate, and design age-appropriate lesson plans.

This role requires CPR/AED and WSI certifications within 90 days, swimming background, and strong communication to create a fun, inclusive learning environment. Hours: M-F 2pm-4pm, Sat 9am-12pm; 5 hours weekly. Growth opportunities and benefits included.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days; must obtain WSI certification within 90 days.
• Previous swimming background essential; swim instruction experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication; ability to motivate and relate to diverse ages/backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism with LifeCenter members, guests and staff.
• Create a fun, healthy learning environment.
• Design lesson plans tailored to the group’s needs and goals.
• Motivate clients by encouraging and acknowledging pupils’ progress.
• Provide skills and drills for independent practice.
• Use interpersonal skills to foster a supportive, exploratory atmosphere.
• Continuously work to improve instructional skills.
