Job summary

The Learning Lamp is seeking a full-time Group Supervisor to support our Penn Highlands Hospital location. Centers run 6 AM–6 PM; full-time equals 40 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with daily care, and supporting staff through engaging activities, with a focus on safety, hygiene, and documentation. Requires degrees in related fields and PA clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or human services.
• Alternate paths: degree with specified ECE credit hours and 1–3 years of experience.
• Clearances and trainings: PA State Criminal History Record, Child Abuse, FBI, Mandated Reporter Training; CPR; medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities and maintain a secure environment.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and age-appropriate activities.
• Support classroom staff with games, crafts, and learning activities.
• Maintain communication with parents and staff; document incidents and observations.
