Job summary

SGS & Co. seeks a Group Strategy Director, Commerce to lead development and scale the eCommerce Strategy discipline across the agency. This role shapes omnichannel strategies for major retailers and marketplaces, translating client challenges into strategic solutions.

You will manage a growing team of Directors and strategists, partner with Creative and Account leads, and drive business development, thought leadership, and client outcomes with data-driven methodologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in digital strategy with 4–5 years leading eCommerce initiatives.
• Leadership experience mentoring and managing strategy teams.
• Experience in CPG and Retail verticals.
• Deep knowledge of major retailer platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.), SEO, PDP strategy, and content syndication tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and scale strategic frameworks and toolkits for eCommerce clients, with repeatable processes.
• Create governance standards outlining how strategy is developed, implemented, and measured.
• Oversee strategy development across a client portfolio for consistent, elevated outputs.
• Collaborate with Creative and Account leadership to drive holisitic, high-performing campaigns.
• Lead development of proprietary methodologies across SEO, AEO, GEO, and digital shelf optimization.
