Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is seeking a Sales Manager to prospect and sell to individual accounts, aligning sales activities with the hotel's marketing plan to maximize revenue per available room.

The role requires 2–3 years in a similar position, strong English skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. A hybrid work setup is offered with on-property days weekly.

Qualifications

• We seek individuals with solid selling and interpersonal skills and the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.
• The applicant will have a proven track record in pursuing, soliciting, selling and confirming business to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
• Strong knowledge of the local Chicago and Mid-West markets.
• Applicants are required to have 2-3 years experience in a similar role and travel is required; domestic and international.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell to group markets in defined geographic region for the property.
• Generate hotel awareness through direct phone sales, calls, tradeshows and networking groups.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to solicit, sell and confirm group business to meet budgeted sales goals.
• Manage independent judgement and discretion on confidential information of the property.
• Perform and follow up on tasks assigned by Sales/Marketing Directors; act as a public ambassador for Four Seasons.

About The Role

The Sales Manager prospects and sells to individual accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the objectives established in the marketing plan. The Manager will ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.

What You Will Do

• Promote and sell to group market in defined geographic region for property.


• Generate Hotel's awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups.


• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to solicit, sell and confirm group business required to meet budgeted sales goals for the property. Candidate should possess the ability to solicit group travel.


• This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision making and managing confidential information of the property.


• Performs and follows up on all extra tasks, actions and responsibilities assigned by the Directors of Sales and Directors of Marketing. Has the ability to be a Public Ambassador for Four Seasons Hotels.
