Job summary

Vimo, a national leader in state-based health insurance exchanges, is seeking a senior Product Manager to own end-to-end consumer-facing flows. You will translate client and market needs into clear requirements, collaborate with engineering and operations, and steer the product toward secure and scalable solutions.

You will work with cross-functional teams, influence decisions with data, and contribute to roadmap and release planning.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of product management experience designing SaaS software.
  • Experience writing requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research client, market and business needs and translate into clear product requirements.
  • Use data to determine when to address product needs.
  • Ensure design focuses on ease of use, security and scalability.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, operations, support, consulting and other PMs.
  • Lead sprint planning, grooming and daily stand-ups to maintain development flow.
  • Drive improvements in tools, skills, infrastructure and processes.
  • Assist in roadmap development and release management.
  • Serve as SME to developers, support and clients.

This role may involve access to sensitive, confidential, or regulated information. As a part of your role, you would be expected to handle such information responsibly and in accordance with the organization’s privacy, security, and data protection policies and procedures. Training specific to this role and the handling of sensitive, confidential, or regulated information is required.

What You'll Do:
  • Research and understand client, market, and business needs and translate them into clear, written product requirements.
  • Use data to determine why and when certain product needs should be addressed.
  • Ensure the product is designed for ease of use, integration, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, operations, support, consulting, and other product managers – appreciating the diverse mix of teammates who make things happen.
  • Understand and negotiate technical implementation options with engineering and make decisions based on business needs.
  • Lead and participate in sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure a steady flow of work to the development team.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the strengthening of tools, skills, infrastructure, and process improvements required to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in roadmap development, planning activities, support, and release management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to developers, support, and clients.

*This is a senior level product management role to take ownership of end-to-end consumer facing flows.*

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation - All In range of ($180,000-$200,000). (Please note that salary and compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, performance and location.)

What We're Looking For:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years' experience as a product manager designing SaaS software
  • Experience writing requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to analyze and use data in decision making and to evaluate results.
  • Ability to communicate with business and technical stakeholders effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Team player with an ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams and to influence clients and team members without formal authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, or Engineering
