Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus on College Ave in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Reformer Instructor to lead Pilates reformer classes within the Fitness Department. The role is non-exempt and requires a nationally recognized Reformer/Pilates certification and CPR/AED, with at least one year of teaching experience.

You will engage members, ensure safety, prepare music, maintain equipment, and uphold high customer service standards in a welcoming community setting at the JCC.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized Reformer/Pilates Instructor Certification required.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• High school Diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage members in conversation; address them by first name; introduce yourself.
• Arrive to class five minutes early; conduct all classes in a safe and effective manner.
• Responsible for turning off stereo equipment at the end of class.
• Responsible for putting away mats, tubes, balls, dumbbells, etc.
• Responsible for picking up towels, water bottles, trash and other items left behind by members after each class.
• Provide all music for class; music will be appropriate; music will not contain expletives or offensive lyrics.
• Inspect Reformer equipment before each class and wipe down machines after use; report any equipment issues promptly.
• Attend new hire orientation during first month of employment.
• All other duties as assigned.
