Job description

We are actively seeking aGroup Manager | Transportation to join our team. The experienced candidate may reside in either ourKing of Prussia or Allentown, PA offices. As aGroup Manager | Transportation withHRG, you will be responsible for cultivating a coaching culture and ensuring high standards in project execution and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and coach group members to enhance our employee-owner culture and drive engagement in their professional development
  • Ensure timely and superior project delivery while collaborating across service groups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long‑term partnerships and satisfaction
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, prioritize workloads, and ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Work closely with Operations and Service AVPs to address staffing, resource allocation, and operational efficiency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer Licensure
  • Minimum of 7 years of varied transportation work with emphasis on planning, roadway design, traffic impact studies, structural design, intersection analysis and improvement, parking studies, traffic signal design, specification writing, and construction administration
  • Proficiency with various transportation‑related software, drafting software, and Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Experience in client relations, proposal preparation, project budgeting, and public presentations
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative teams, with a strong emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.
  • Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
  • Valid US Driver’s License is required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
