Job description

Overview

Come join our team of leaders, learners, and world-class compliance professionals. We are seeking a Group Manager of Lending Compliance to lead the compliance program governing our consumer and small business lending and loan brokering activities, including QuickBooks Capital's Term Loan, Line of Credit, and lending marketplace offerings plus a variety of consumer lending products. This is a senior people-leader role: you'll scale a high-performing Lending Compliance team while serving as the company's senior compliance authority on lending and loan brokering regulation, exercising broad influence across product, engineering, legal, and our bank and marketplace lending partners. This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead a high-performing lending compliance team, developing compliance managers and analysts as the program and product line scale.
  • Operate as a player-coach, setting team strategy and workload priorities while staying close enough to the work to coach, review, and unblock it. The role of Compliance at Intuit is to help enable compliant innovative offerings and ensure sustained compliance over time.
  • Develop your team's regulatory expertise and career paths, ensuring broad coverage across lending and consumer protection domains and reducing dependency on any single person's knowledge.
Regulatory Expertise & Program Ownership
  • Serve as the senior compliance expert on lending and loan brokering law, including but not limited to TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, UDAAP, and state commercial financing disclosure laws, and define the compliance framework - policies, procedures, and controls - governing our lending and loan brokering activities.
  • Own compliance risk assessments and fair lending oversight, including underwriting model governance, disparate impact testing, and adverse action notice processes.
  • Lead compliance monitoring, testing, and control challenge programs, identifying systemic risks and recommending corrective actions.
  • Proactively monitor emerging regulatory developments - such as new state disclosure regimes and CFPB Section 1071 requirements - and translate them into actionable business requirements.
  • Oversee the bank-partnership compliance relationship, ensuring products issued through partner banks meet both partner-bank risk requirements and applicable law, and represent the compliance program to regulators, auditors, and bank partners.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Executive Communication
  • Partner with product, engineering, and marketing leaders to review new lending products, underwriting changes, disclosures, and application flows before launch, ensuring compliance is embedded early in the design process.
  • Translate regulatory risk into clear, actionable tradeoffs that influence roadmap and go/no-go decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 15+ years of lending compliance, consumer finance regulatory compliance, legal, risk, or advisory experience within banking, fintech or financial services, including direct experience in a second-line compliance function.
  • 5+ years directly managing people—hiring, developing, and retaining compliance talent, ideally through periods of business growth. Demonstrated ability to build a team from scratch or meaningfully scale one, and a track record of developing employees.
  • Deep, demonstrable expertise in consumer and commercial lending regulations—TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, UDAAP, and state commercial financing disclosure laws—including direct experience with loan brokering compliance, multi-state licensing, and bank-partner lending models.
  • Direct experience participating in regulatory examinations, and excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging senior executives, regulators, and auditors.
  • Relevant professional certifications (CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent), or a J.D.
  • Prior experience working with or alongside a partner bank.
  • Prior experience with Capital Markets.
  • Demonstrated AI-first mindset, with experience using AI tools to improve and automate compliance workflows or documentation practices.
