Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. in Vicksburg, MS seeks a seasoned leader to head the Computer Sciences & Consulting Services Group, driving business development, program leadership, and team supervision for federally funded projects.

The role reports to the Vice President of the Southern Division and requires DoD clearance eligibility, 25% travel, and a track record of delivering complex engineering and software solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience, including leading government funded research and/or software development programs.
• Demonstrated experience and success leading business development and proposal writing.
• Ability to lead projects from conception to conclusion with teams of engineers, scientists, and software developers.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in computer engineering.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance, which includes US citizenship.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% time.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to identify, market, and generate new business for clients including the US Government, both military and civilian, state governments, and large commercial companies.
• Oversee data management & analysis, enterprise development, application development, mobile computing, GIS capabilities.
• Supervise a group of very talented software developers and lead large federally funded programs.
