Job summary

Rite of Passage Team in Virginia seeks a Group Home Supervisor to lead daily living programs in our cottages, supervising Youth Care Workers and collaborating with professional staff. You will support youth needs, work with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A bachelor's degree in social work or psychology & two years of professional experience working with children, one year in a residential facility for children OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years professional experience working with children, with at least 2 years in a residential facility for children.
• 1-year Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility experience.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Develop the daily living program within each cottage.
• Train and supervise Youth Care Workers within their cottage.
• Provide an atmosphere supportive of the needs of the youth.
• Collaborate with other professional staff to meet each youth's treatment plan.
• Perform standard paraprofessional work in program operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in social work or psychology

Pay

Pay : Salary based on education, experience and qualifications. Starting at $58,240

What you will do

• Group Home Supervisors have the responsibility for the development of the daily living program within each cottage.
• Group Home Supervisors will be responsible for the training and supervision of the Youth Care Workers within their cottage.
• Provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the youth.
• Work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each youths treatment plan.
• Perform standard level paraprofessional work in every aspect of the program operations.
• This position reports to the Director of Group Living.

To be considered you should

• Be at least 21 years of age
• A bachelors degree in social work or psychology & two years of professional experience working with children one year of which must have been in a residential facility for children OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years professional experience working with children with at least 2 years in a residential facility for children OR a combination of education and experience working with children as approved by the department
• 1-Year Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule

Monday- Friday, varied shifts based on operational need. Rotating on call shifts for weekend and holidays are required.
