Job summary

Marrakech, Inc. is seeking a Group Home Program Counselor (DSP) to support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home.

You will help residents live safely and independently, building trusting relationships that promote personal choice. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, coordinating medical needs, following behavior plans, and promoting community involvement within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License required.
• Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Group Home Program Counselor(DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
• Supporting medical needs and appointments
• Following individualized support and behavior plans
• Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
• Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

We’re seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.

Pay

• $19.28 per hour
• Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
• Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
