Job summary

Marrakech, Inc. seeks a Program Counselor (DSP) to support individuals with disabilities in a residential group home. You’ll help residents live safely and with independence, building trusting relationships that promote personal choice.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, supporting medical needs, and following behavior plans. Paid training is provided; overnights may be required for some shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Connecticut Driver's License is required.
• DDS Medication Certification, CPR and First Aid must be obtainable.

About the Role

As a Program Counselor (DSP), you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You'll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
• Supporting medical needs and appointments
• Following individualized support and behavior plans
• Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
• Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

We're seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Connecticut Driver's License
• Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.

Pay

• $19.28 per hour
• Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification

Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
