The Arc of Central Alabama is seeking a Group Home Manager to supervise daily operations of our group homes in Alabama. You will lead staff, develop person-centered service plans, and ensure safe, supportive living environments for residents with IDD.

You will coordinate community outings, manage facilities, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting resident well-being and meaningful relationships. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational competence required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and insurability by agency required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the daily operations of assigned group homes, ensuring health, safety, and development of residents.
• Create relationships with individuals served and implement person-centered support plans.
• Develop and implement individual service plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise all functions of the group home, including staff performance and resident care.
• Schedule staff shifts and approve earned time for adequate shift coverage.
• Schedule and participate in community outings to promote engagement.
• Maintain group home facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality; perform administrative tasks.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities, ensuring safe travel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
