Job summary

VASA Fitness in South Bend, IN is seeking a Group Fitness Team Lead to coach the coaches, oversee the Group Fitness program, and build an energetic, inclusive class experience for all members.

You’ll train instructors, schedule classes, collaborate with the General Manager to grow attendance, and ensure every VASA class reflects our high standards of quality and care. This role offers growth opportunities and a path to leadership within a rapidly expanding team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years teaching group fitness, small group training, or boutique fitness.
• Nationally accredited Group Fitness Certification required.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Experience leading and coaching groups.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of kinesiology and exercise science.
• Self-motivated with ownership and urgency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Passion for fitness, community, and helping others reach their goals.
• Les Mills or structured formats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group Fitness program in your club, managing class schedules and developing instructors.
• Ensure programming is high-energy, safe, and inclusive for all fitness levels.
• Collaborate with other Team Leads and the General Manager to grow class attendance.
• Coach instructors through regular feedback and evaluations to elevate the member experience.
