Job summary

Park District of Oak Park is seeking a Part-Time Fitness Instructor to lead safe, effective group exercise classes at the CRC Community Recreation Center in Oak Park, IL. The role requires experience teaching group fitness and current national certification.

You will set up equipment, monitor safety, engage participants, and provide friendly customer service while upholding park district policies. CPR/First Aid/AED certification must be completed within 1 month of employment, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must have previous education or experience in teaching group fitness classes.
• Current national certification as a group fitness instructor.
• Knowledgeable in health and fitness field.
• Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, effective group exercise class with warm-up and cool-down.
• Set up equipment ahead of class and ensure safety.
• Be available to answer participant questions up to 15 minutes outside of class time.
• Enforce Park District rules and maintain a positive public image.
• Complete accident and incident reports and report maintenance needs.
