This is an ongoing Independent Contractor position. Pay rate depends on certifications, education, and experience. We seek an energetic, highly motivated individual passionate about helping members improve physically and mentally. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate others, have a desire to change lives, and be flexible with job responsibilities. In this role you will coach group fitness classes, design and develop your own group fitness programs and classes, help maintain a clean and organized facility, and participate in community activities to promote our programs.
Additionally, you must be willing to learn and grow in the position, have initiative, be able to talk to people you do not know, and be able to easily develop rapport and cultivate relationships within the gym community.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop group fitness programs and classes tailored to the needs and interests of members (newer to program design will receive guidance).
- Establish a fun, community‑focused club culture that delivers high member satisfaction, results, and retention.
- Evaluate and observe individuals’ abilities, needs, and physical conditions; provide modifications, regressions, or variations to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Teach adult and youth small‑group fitness classes.
- Provide members/clients with information and resources regarding nutrition and lifestyle habits.
- Demonstrate and educate proper use of equipment and techniques; explain and enforce safety rules.
- Be flexible and adaptable to assist with additional duties as needed, including member engagement and front desk support.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the fitness facility, including equipment, restrooms, and common areas.
- Attend team meetings and functions.
Future Responsibilities
- Help plan, promote, and attend special events inside the club and community events outside, promoting our programs and services.
- Create monthly game plans to ensure the club’s success in attaining revenue goals and objectives.
- Take ownership of fitness orientation, assessments, lead generation, and sales opportunities.
- Drive the successful attainment of club targets such as fitness services, revenue, and PT retention.

- Working knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, email) and aptitude to learn Snap Fitness’ proprietary software; experience in social media (Facebook, Instagram) is desired.
Required Education, Experience, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a similar field, or certification from NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, AFFA, NFPT, or IFPA.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications.
- One year of group fitness instruction or personal training experience preferred but not required.

- Hours are subject to change based on season, client retention, scheduled events, etc.; flexibility is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
