Job summary

MVP Sports Clubs, Inc. is hiring a Group Exercise Instructor in Grand Rapids, MI to deliver high‑quality group sessions in a welcoming, safe environment.

You will report to the Group Exercise Manager and lead classes, cue music, and ensure safety and engagement across all participants. The role requires current certifications in major formats, CPR/First Aid, and ideally 1+ year of teaching experience, with a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and teamwork within our health and wellness

Qualifications

• Certifications in group exercise formats (MOSSA/Les Mills or equivalent).
• CPR/First Aid training required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience teaching group exercise preferred.
• Ability to design and instruct classes safely following industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Arrive early, cue music, prep programming, start and end class on time.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Ensure group exercise areas are clean and safe; proper equipment use.
• Resolve member concerns and refer to appropriate staff.
• Enforce club rules and report problems to Manager.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in department events.
• Maintain knowledge of current fitness research and trends; keep certifications up to date.
• Lead group exercise formats as required; sub when needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and MVP uniform.
