Job summary

Westwood Country Club is seeking a skilled Group Fitness Instructor to educate members and guests through safe, effective exercise classes, offering clear demonstrations and motivating efforts. You will arrive early, lead warm-ups, monitor form, and adapt exercises to various fitness levels while ensuring a welcoming environment.

Applicants should hold a national certification (ACSM, NSCA, ACE or AFAA) with CPR/AED, and have a health- and fitness-focused degree and one year of related experience

Qualifications

• Health- and fitness-focused undergraduate degree preferred.
• One year of experience as a personal trainer or Group Exercise Instructor.
• Certification with ACSM, NSCA, ACE or AFAA.

Responsibilities

• Teach scheduled classes with warm-up, exercise, stretch and cool-down components.
• Explain techniques, demonstrate exercises and monitor form for safety.
• Prepare equipment and music for each class.
• Assist members and answer questions to maintain a positive experience.
• Maintain awareness of safety standards and club policies in all activities.
• Provide motivational guidance and constructive feedback.
