Job summary

YMCA of the USA is seeking a part-time fitness instructor to lead group exercise classes while supporting the mission and core values of the YMCA. You will build relationships with our members and create a healthy, safe environment that fosters motivation and participation.

Qualifications

• Must hold YMCA approved certification through a nationally accredited organization (YMCA Group Exercise Instructor, ACE, AFAA, or ACSM Health Fitness Instructor).
• Must hold current spin certification.
• Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.
• Enthusiasm, a professional image and the ability to empathize and support members and program participants ranging in age from 2 to 99.
