Job summary

Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks a Group Fitness Instructor to teach Pilates Mat at our Quincy, MA fitness center. Availability required Wednesdays and Thursdays 12-2pm EST. You will design engaging formats, tailor movements for all levels, and may cover multiple locations.

Qualified candidates hold a recognized Group Fitness Cert and CPR/AED, with experience in corporate wellness or fitness settings. Microsoft Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification and CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in Group Fitness, corporate wellness, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to engage clients and communicate professionally with participants.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pilates Mat classes, develop engaging formats and playlists.
• Schedule coverage and interact with clients across locations as needed.
• Network with participants and promote class attendance.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an energetic, reliable and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach Pilates Mat class at a high profile company's fitness center located in Quincy, MA.

We are looking for Group Fitness Instructors who are available Wednesday and Thursday between 12-2pm EST.

• Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists.
• Have a passion for client results by building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all levels of fitness.
• Opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Requirements:

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate, specialty class license (i.e. Zumba®, etc.) and current CPR /AED certification (no online CPR/AED certification accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
• Must communicate professionally using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from clients/guests.
• Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
