Job summary

Active Wellness Center at Napa seeks a Group Fitness Instructor to lead safe, effective classes for a diverse member base and help clients reach their fitness goals.

You will teach Yoga, Pilates, Cardio, Barre and more, assist with form, attend trainings, and maintain a clean, safe gym environment. This full‑time role offers competitive pay per class hour and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred.
• 2 years group exercise experience preferred.
• Current nationally recognized group fitness certification or specialty class license (e.g., Zumba).
• Must be detail oriented, organized and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Teach various group fitness classes for general and active aging populations (Yoga, Pilates Mat, cardio, strength, Barre, core, Zumba).
• Assist members with safe exercise form during workouts.
• Attend department meetings and continuing education to keep certifications current.
• Maintain a clean, safe fitness environment and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Conduct classes and activities; lead demonstrations and adjust modifications as needed.
• Provide emergency care as required and work as part of the team with other departments.

Location: Active Wellness Center at Napa - Napa, CAPay Transparency: $17.00 per administrative hour, $30.00 - $45.00 per group fitness class hour; Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws.
