Job summary

Philaymca is seeking a certified group fitness instructor for their Media branch. As an instructor, you will engage members and inspire them towards a healthier lifestyle through dynamic group exercise classes.

You're expected to set a positive example, prepare safe routines, and provide support to ensure a welcoming environment for all. The role offers the opportunity to work in a fun and diverse team while enjoying numerous class options and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified in YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise or equivalent certification.
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for member service.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
• Prepare routines and/or choreography.
• Encourage members to maintain healthy lifestyles.
• Ensure safety and well-being of members.
• Provide excellent service to all members.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification (1).
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards.
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility.
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction.
• Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents.
