The Edina Southdale YMCA is seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors! Opportunities available in various class formats including strength and cardio, water exercise, ForeverWell, MOSSA (such as Group Active, Group Blast, Group Fight, Group Power), Les Mills (such as BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyStep), Yoga, Pilates, Dance, and more. Enjoy a flexible schedule, career development, training opportunities, free Y membership, and more! A nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor Certification is required.
The starting salary for this position is $16.00 per hour. The full-time compensation package includes a wide range of benefits (medical, dental, life, disability, and more), generous paid time off, and free membership. Part-time benefits will vary.
The Group Fitness Instructor delivers quality group fitness classes, provides excellent customer service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes wellness in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
This role reports to the Program Manager, who reports to the Director of Healthy Living. The instructor collaborates with other part-time instructors, staff, member services, and maintenance personnel. Address members by name and encourage participation in activities.
