Job summary

The Trainer at Taymax Group, LP will run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, helping new members design simple workouts and use equipment safely. You will greet and guide members, support them in achieving fitness goals, and contribute to a welcoming club environment in Sacramento.

In addition to coaching, you may assist at the front desk and help with club upkeep, ensuring a positive member experience in a fast-paced fitness center.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Personal Training Certification from a preferred association (IFA, ACE or NCSF) is required.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize members with the facility and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Lead the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and create/run schedules.
• Consult with members on fitness goals and provide motivation.
• Instruct members on equipment usage and safety.
• Create bi-weekly exercise updates.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and traffic.
• Assist in front desk activities as needed.
• Help with daily cleaning and maintenance.
• Address member questions and escalate as needed.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
