Job summary

Panda is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to support group reporting, monthly consolidation, and the annual audit process. This role suits a newly or recently qualified finance professional aiming to grow in a fast-moving business.

You will work with group finance, tax, treasury and operations, handling technical accounting matters, controls, and finance transformation initiatives. Strong Excel and Workday experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status.
• Big 4 training would be preferable.
• Experience in financial reporting, ideally within industry.
• Exposure to IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Experience in consolidations and group accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual Group financial statements under IFRS and assist with the annual audit.
• Produce monthly and quarterly Group reporting deliverables and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Analyze monthly subsidiary accounts and support monthly management reporting packs.
• Lead monthly and annual intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Assist with internal controls and period close activities.

Job description

The Role We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting group reporting, monthly consolidation, financial statements and the annual audit process. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly or recently qualified finance professional who wants to build their career in a growing, fast-moving business. As Group Financial Accountant, you will work closely with group finance and wider teams across legal, company secretarial, tax, treasury, commercial finance and operations. You will support technical accounting matters, one-off transactions, accounting standard updates, internal controls and ongoing finance transformation activity.

What Youll Be Doing

You will:

• Support the preparation of annual Group financial statements under IFRS and assist with delivery of the annual audit.
• Produce monthly and quarterly Group reporting deliverables and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
• Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Analyse monthly subsidiary accounts and work with operations and finance teams to prepare monthly management reporting packs.
• Lead monthly and annual intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Research, analyse and apply technical accounting standards and guidance, including IFRS updates and accounting treatment for growth-related activity.
• Work with the Group Finance team to improve the use of current and future finance systems and technology.
• Support finance transformation projects, driving process efficiencies and improvements.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls across the Group.
• Facilitate and perform period close activities, including balance sheet reconciliation review and approval.
• Work with cross-functional teams including legal, company secretarial, taxation, treasury and commercial finance.

About You

You will be a qualified or recently qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work accurately in a busy group finance environment. You will bring:

• Newly or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status.
• Big 4 training would be preferable.
• Experience in financial reporting, ideally within industry.
• Exposure to IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Experience in consolidations and group accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft applications.
• Workday experience would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
• A self-driven, motivated and highly organised approach.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• A team-focused mindset with the confidence to take ownership of key reporting activities.
