Job summary

Heartland-Center-For-Behavioral-Change in Kansas City, MO is seeking a motivated individual to deliver group services for substance use disorder treatment. The role requires presenting curriculum-based content and maintaining quality records.

You will plan and administer focused group activities, support documentation in the EHR, and participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance and effective outcomes. Evening hours are required with pay range listed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of successful work experience.
• Understanding of recovery process through academic training, relevant work, or personal recovery experience. Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor I or II preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and administer group services designed to assist persons with substance use disorders.
• Provide group services consistent with approved curriculum and key service definitions.
• Present didactic material in an understandable way while maintaining fidelity to the curriculum.
• May conduct group therapy/counseling as appropriate.
• Document services delivered into the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Accurately report attendance and participation in group services in the health record.
• Address all failed claims and activities promptly.
• Participate in conferences, training sessions, and meetings related to assigned responsibilities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
