Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Virginia is hiring a Group Facilitator for its new inpatient detox and residential facility in North Chesterfield. You will lead group therapy, provide psychoeducation, and help clients build coping skills and recovery tools.

Work with clinical staff to monitor progress, maintain documentation, and ensure compliant charting. Requires a Bachelor's degree, CSAC licensure, and sobriety if in recovery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field.
Minimum one year experience in treatment industry preferred.
Valid licensure to practice as a clinician in Virginia (CSAC).
If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
Strong presence and good judgement; trustworthy, recovery-oriented.

Responsibilities

Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups for clients' challenges.
Help clients develop healthy coping skills and recovery tools.
Collaborate with clinical staff to track client progress and challenges.
Escalate significant concerns to Clinical Director.
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions.
Ensure all evaluations and client charts are completed.

What You'll Do

Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state- CSAC
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
Strong presence and sound judgement
