Job summary

EPIC Health Partners, LLC is seeking a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC/CSAC-A) to join our ARTS program as a group facilitator. This role delivers structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and person-centered interventions for individuals in substance use treatment services.

We emphasize trauma-informed, evidence-based practices, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active CSAC registration with Virginia Board of Counseling.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing substance use and/or mental health services in individual, family, or group settings.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, relapse-prevention strategies, and evidence-based addiction treatment approaches.
• Ability to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• TB screening verification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-building, and therapeutic group sessions in accordance with ASAM and program requirements.
• Support individuals in identifying goals and applying recovery skills.
• Maintain group structure, safety, and engagement.
• Monitor participant engagement and communicate concerns requiring clinical or supervisory attention.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation, including group notes and attendance, in compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and EHP standards.
• Provide crisis support and service coordination as needed.
• Participate in meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

This role provides structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and person-centered interventions for individuals participating in substance use treatment services.
