Job summary

Epic Health Partners is seeking Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC/CSAC-A) to join our ARTS program as group facilitators. The role focuses on structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and person-centered interventions for individuals in substance use treatment services.

Responsibilities include facilitating sessions, maintaining engagement and safety, documenting notes, and collaborating with supervisors and the team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CSAC registration and credentials.
• At least 1 year of experience in substance use and/or mental health services.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria and relapse-prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-building and therapeutic group sessions per ASAM and program requirements.
• Help participants identify goals and apply recovery skills.
• Maintain group structure, safety and engagement.
• Monitor participant engagement and escalate concerns to clinical or supervisory staff.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate documentation including group notes and attendance per DBHDS/DMAS/EHP standards.
• Provide crisis support and service coordination as needed.
• Participate in meetings, supervision and ongoing professional development.

EPIC Health Partners is seeking Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC/CSAC-A) to join our growing team as group facilitators within our ARTS program. This role provides structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and person-centered interventions for individuals participating in substance use treatment services. Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-building, and therapeutic group sessions in accordance with ASAM and program requirements.
• Support individuals in identifying goals and applying recovery skills.
• Maintain group structure, safety, and engagement.
• Monitor participant engagement and communicate concerns requiring clinical or supervisory attention.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation, including group notes and attendance, in compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and EHP standards.
• Provide crisis support and service coordination as needed.
• Participate in meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• Active registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing substance use and/or mental health services in individual, family, or group settings.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, relapse-prevention strategies, and evidence-based addiction treatment approaches.
• Ability to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Verification of Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
