Job summary

Guardian Recovery is seeking a Group Facilitator to plan and lead group sessions for individuals in outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. You will guide discussions, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure sessions meet treatment goals.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, prior experience with therapeutic groups, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. On-site Saturdays sessions are part of the schedule.

POSITION PURPOSE:The Group Facilitator is responsible for planning and leading group sessions that support participants in achieving shared objectives. This role guides group discussions and activities, manages group dynamics, and fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where all participants feel empowered to contribute. Key responsibilities include organizing and leading sessions to meet defined goals, facilitating open discussion while navigating varying perspectives, maintaining an environment that encourages participation from all members, monitoring group progress and adjusting the facilitation approach as needed, resolving conflicts or disruptions professionally, and summarizing outcomes with appropriate follow-up.
