The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is seeking a Reformer Instructor to lead Reformer/Pilates classes and help members achieve their fitness goals. The role requires certification and CPR/AED, plus at least one year of teaching experience.

You will arrive early, maintain equipment, ensure safety, and provide a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all members at the Fitness department. This on-site role supports the JCC's mission of promoting physical wellness and community engagement.

Formación

• Nationally recognized Reformer/Pilates Instructor Certification required.
• High school Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Engage members in conversation and address them by first name.
• Arrive to class five minutes early and conduct classes safely and effectively.
• Inspect Reformer equipment before each class and wipe down after use.
• Provide all music for class and ensure content is appropriate.
• Turn off stereo equipment at the end of class and tidy mats, tubes, balls, and towels.
• Attend new hire orientation during first month of employment.

Position Summary : Assist the JCC community establish, maintain and exceed its fitness goals.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Engage members in conversation; address them by first name; introduce yourself.
• Arrive to class five minutes early; conduct all classes in a safe and effective manner.
• Responsible for turning off stereo equipment at the end of class.
• Responsible for putting away mats, tubes, balls, dumbbells, etc.
• Responsible for picking up towels, water bottles, trash and other items left behind by members after each class.
• Provide all music for class; music will be appropriate; music will not contain expletives or offensive lyrics.
• Inspect Reformer equipment before each class and wipe down machines after use; report any equipment issues promptly.
• Attend new hire orientation during first month of employment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and Education - Minimum Required or Preferred : Nationally recognized Reformer/Pilates Instructor Certification required; High school Diploma/GED preferred; CPR/AED required.
• Experience - Minimum Required or Preferred : Minimum 1-year experience leading Reformer/Pilates classes.
