Job summary

The Granite YMCA is hiring a Group Exercise Instructor to lead engaging classes at our YMCA. This role is key in motivating members, fostering a positive fitness environment, and supporting the Health & Wellness team in delivering safe and effective programming.

The ideal candidate will bring experience teaching group fitness classes and hold a nationally recognized Group Exercise certification (or be willing to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Experience teaching group fitness classes.
• Nationally recognized Group Exercise certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic group exercise classes for all fitness levels, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Motivate participants and foster a welcoming, inclusive class environment.
• Maintain effective, positive relationships with members and fellow staff.
• Follow YMCA safety policies, procedures, and guidelines during classes.
• Assist with set-up, equipment checks, and cleanliness of the studio and equipment.
• Support program development and implement new class offerings as needed.
