Pdhp is seeking a Part-Time Exercise Instructor to lead various fitness classes at the Recreation Center of Highland Park. Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma and primary group exercise certification, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage members in safe and effective exercise programs.
Summary: To teach a safe structured exercise class to members of various abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibility for all Group Exercise Instructors.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Instructors must have primary group exercise certifications from one of the following: ACE, AFFA, ACSM, NETA, AEA, IFTA, SCW.
Wage Range:$20.00-$50.00 per hour- Based on qualifications
Classification:Part Time, non-exempt
Schedule:Must have flexible schedule with ability to teach evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions:The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
