Job summary

Cape Ann YMCA in Gloucester, MA is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Coordinator to lead and grow our fitness programs. You’ll help coordinate instructor schedules, support program growth, and ensure our group exercise offerings are welcoming, engaging, and accessible to the community.

Responsibilities include overseeing classes for safety and inclusivity, scheduling staff, assisting with onboarding, supporting wellness initiatives like Enhance Fitness and LIVESTRONG, creating flyers, tracking

Qualifications

• Group Exercise certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Oversee group exercise classes to provide safe, inclusive, engaging experiences.
• Coordinate instructor schedules, assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and community workshops.
• Assist with promotional materials and class attendance tracking.
• Engage members to foster a welcoming wellness community.
