Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a First Shift Coordinator Lead in Vista, CA. The role focuses on directing a work group, assigning schedules, and training associates while handling daily workloads.

Shift is 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday. Pay is $23.25 per hour, with monthly performance and safety incentive bonuses for full-time employees. Prior VNA forklift or reach truck experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months warehouse experience.
• 6-12 months forklift operation experience.
• Forklift operator certificate or completion of a forklift-training program within 30 days (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign work schedules and train associates.
• Monitor progress and direct the work group.
• Ensure daily workloads are completed and records are kept.
• Open/close and secure the building as directed.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor if not self-corrected.
• Communicate work practices and procedures to associates.

The core responsibilities of this role include: Case-picking by hand up to 35lbs. approx. 60% of the day; operating MHE including Electric Pallet Jack and Reach Truck approx. 40%. Responsible for assigning work schedules, training associates and monitoring associate progress for the work group they are directing. Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to work group. • Maintain legible and accurate records or logs.
• Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
• Monitor performance of associates within the work group.

• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
• Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.

Required Education and Experience

• 6-12 months warehouse experience
• 6-12 months forklift operation experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment, preferred
