Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA or CMA certification required.
• 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Aerospace & Defense or Government Contracting experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracting requirements.
• SOX compliance experience required.
• ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or NetSuite.
• Strong executive presence with proven experience partnering with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations and financial reporting for the business unit, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including consolidated reporting packages.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash flow management activities.
• Own and maintain a strong internal controls environment in accordance with SOX requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, DFARS, tax, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead all external audit activities and manage relationships with auditors and outside advisors.
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and support strategic decision-making.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
• Drive improvements to financial systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure.
• Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support cost accounting, contract compliance, and government-contracting reporting requirements.

• Aerospace & Defense or Government Contracting industry experience is highly desired
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracting requirements
• SOX compliance experience required
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or NetSuite)
• Strong executive presence with proven experience partnering with senior leadership
