Job summary

AXA XL’s Global Risk Management group in North America is expanding its Group Captives unit. As an Associate Underwriter, you will underwrite and manage a renewal book while developing new business within approved limits, and you will help shape the Group Captives program.

You will build relationships with brokers and clients, contribute to risk assessments, and mentor peers. A bachelor’s degree and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, manage and service renewals; produce new business within plan.
• Develop and manage Group Captive programs and portfolio.
• Build AXA XL reputation in North America Group Captive market.
• Exercise independent judgment in risk analysis and decision making.
• Mentor peers and participate in risk assessment discussions.
• Negotiate with intermediaries and producers within delegated authority.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients and captive intermediaries.
• Represent AXA XL at conferences and client meetings to educate on risk.
