Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced risk and resiliency professional to execute frameworks and manage the Group Benefits risk profile across technology, cyber, data, and third-party domains. You will advise leadership, facilitate risk working groups, and escalate to risk committees.

The role requires strong analytical skills, 5+ years in operational risk within financial services, and the ability to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in operational risk management or a related risk discipline within financial services.
• Insurance experience preferred.
• Group Benefits experience may be used in lieu of other experience.
• Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Execute Risk & Resiliency frameworks for Group Benefits.
• Manage the operational risk profile for Group Benefits across Technology, Cyber, Data, Model, Compliance, Third Party, and other domains.
• Advise Group Benefits leadership and facilitate Risk Working Groups.
• Escalate topics to appropriate risk committees.
• Assess key risks at line-of-business and process levels.
• Coordinate with business process owners and risk and control partners on risk action items.
• Develop business continuity plans and resiliency solutions for critical dependencies.
• Conduct regular testing and oversee plans.
• Manage business coordination of Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management efforts.
• Maintain the Group Benefits Risk Register in ServiceNow
• Establish reporting standards and ensure risk data quality and completeness
• Consolidate and synthesize risk data to assess residual risk and alignment with risk appetite
• Identify material risk themes and trends and inform leadership and governance discussions
• Coordinate issues, events, KRIs, and stress scenario analysis
• Promote first-line risk ownership, consistent standards, issue identification, and timely escalation
• Report to the Head of Business Risk & Resiliency
