Job summary

The SUN Outpatient Center in Erlanger, KY is expanding its clinical team and seeking a dedicated Group-Based Therapist to support adults in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is required or strongly preferred.
• Active KY clinical license (CSW, LPCA, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC preferred but not required).
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups in mental health or substance use treatment.
• Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and a calm, grounded presence.
• Commitment to teamwork, patient-centered care, and meaningful recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformational group therapy for PHP and IOP participants.
• Facilitate structured, evidence-based group sessions and tailor interventions.
• Create a safe, therapeutically rich group environment with groups capped at 10.
• Conduct clinical assessments, progress evaluations, and risk screenings.
• Collaborate in treatment team meetings with psychiatry, nursing, and care coordinators.
• Maintain clinical documentation reflecting quality and standards; participate in program improvements.
