Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Remediation System Technician to support a client site in Marshall, IL. This part-time role (~15 hours/week) is an approximately 12-month assignment with potential annual renewal and requires onsite presence five days per week on average.

You will operate and maintain groundwater extraction and treatment systems, collect samples, and coordinate with the project team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical systems or plumbing experience preferred.
• English is required.
• Available for emergency response within 24 hours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and monitor groundwater extraction and treatment systems.
• Perform weekly site visits to collect operational parameters (flow, pressure, etc.).
• Adjust well flow and pressures for effective operation.
• Participate in bi-weekly team calls with Project Manager and team.
• Collect samples for VOCs and other permit-required analytes.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot with ERM Engineer.
• Oversee maintenance and subcontractors as needed.
