Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc is seeking a Water Resources Hydrogeologist/Engineer to support groundwater projects across Texas and other states. You will develop hydrogeologic models, prepare feasibility analyses, and assist with fieldwork and reporting from initial planning through project completion.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years in hydrogeology or water resources, experience with MODFLOW/ArcGIS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a hydrogeologist or engineer for water resources projects.
  • Active professional licensure or certification in Texas preferred (PG/PE/GIT/EIT).
  • Technical knowledge in numerical groundwater modeling (MODFLOW), water resources planning, groundwater availability investigations, data management and visualization, ArcGIS, and technical writing.
  • Proficiency with Python preferred.
  • Knowledge of Texas groundwater regulations and regional water planning processes preferred.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement hydrogeologic conceptual models, water balances, and numerical groundwater models.
  • Prepare reports and studies including groundwater sustainability plans and water supply strategies.
  • Assist with field investigations including site visits, data collection, well installation, and aquifer testing.
  • Prepare clear, well-written documents and presentations communicating complex technical issues.
  • Support proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and progress reports.
  • Other duties as required.
