Job summary

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking a hands-on Environmental Field Technician to operate and maintain groundwater treatment systems at our site in Northwest Indiana.

This role is ideal for someone with wastewater or environmental fieldwork experience seeking engaging projects and a supportive team. You will handle field tasks, perform inspections, collect samples, and assist with equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience in wastewater, environmental fieldwork, or mechanical maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain groundwater pumps, wells, piping, and treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, meters, and control systems (PLCs).
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Collect and handle water and waste samples for testing.
• Maintain property areas including gravel access roads and snow removal.
• Keep accurate records and report data using company computers.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures at all times.
• Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend emergencies.
