Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Groundsperson/Tree Groundsman to support the crew by clearing brush and trees from the ground. You will be dispatched by IBEW and must be able to work outdoors, lift heavy limbs, and operate hand tools such as pruners, pole saws, and chain saws.

A valid driver’s license is required in this role, and you may travel for storm restoration work. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient site cleanup, with responsibilities extending to equipment maintenance and driving

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use saws and pruners on uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first‑aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs as directed; flag traffic to protect employees and the public.
